We know
texting and driving
is bad
but what about
texting and walking?
Head down
mind far away
led astray
by electronic chatter
as people pass
paying them
no matter
robbing them
of existence
by cold indifference
withholding
the warm look
the kind smile
that could make
all the difference
in their day
maybe even
dare I say
their life?
