Brick by brick,
stone by stone
someone builds
a house, but
time and neglect
wear it down
‘til we talk
about its bones.
When life wears
us down at an
even faster pace,
in a race to
the grave with
hardly a wave,
longing to
find a home.
Goodbye brick.
Goodbye stone.
Goodbye house.
Hello home.
